Tired of having just one 40K army on your side? Time to play Doubles. Saxon Games is hosting a 40K Doubles Event on Saturday November 15, 2025. Team up with two 1,000pt armies and face off against opponents in this fun and casual games format.

Get Ready to Play

Saturday November 15, 2025

Saxonia Hall - German Canadian Club

522 Talbot Street West

Aylmer, ON N5H 2T8

Canada

Two players form a team. Teams can purchase tickets from BCP for a cost of $80.

All players must build and submit their armies, following these rules:

  • Each player in a team fields a 1000pt army using the most recent Codex or Publication for each army
  • Lists must be legal as per Matched Play requirements
  • All models must be built and match the model included in the players list
  • Kit bashed units should have the correct base size and should be close to the silhouette of the original model
  • No Legends units
  • All GW published updates are effective by the list submission due date
  • Any FAQ clarifications that answer how to interpret rules will be effective immediately upon release

Submit all lists through BCP by November 8, 2025 at 11:59pm.

Late list submissions will incur a 10 VP penalty in the first game.

Acceptable list formats

  • All lists must use text exports from the Warhammer 40K App.
  • List reviews
  • The organizers will review all lists and contact individuals if there are any errors with their list.

All of your models must

  • Battle Ready
  • be fully assembled
  • match the model included in your list, and
  • have their major gear match what is shown on the datasheet and list.

We encourage conversions. If you are unsure if your conversion is legal, send a picture to saxongames40k@gmail.com by November 8, 2025 at 11:59pm. The organizers will advise if the model is allowed in the event.

Proxies must be approved by the Tournament Organizer ahead of time. If you have proxied models in your list and they are not approved by the Tournament Organizer prior to the event date, you may not be allowed to use those models. Proxied models must fit the proper base size and model size of the actual Games Workshop model.

Since there are 4 players in each game, the sequence of set up and battle rounds are different from standard games.

Attacker and Defender

Each team rolls off for Attacker and Defender as per a standard game. When deploying armies, players alternate for each unit deployment.

  1. Defender 1 deploys 1 unit.
  2. Attacker 1 deploys 1 unit.
  3. Defender 2 deploys 1 unit.
  4. Attacker 2 deploys 1 unit.
  5. Repeat until all units are placed.

Titanic units

A Titanic unit counts as 2 deployments for the owning player. They skip their next deployment, however their partner still deploys as normal.

Each team completes a full turn as if they were one army. Each player is responsible for activating and rolling for units in their own army.

All terrain is preplaced and is based on the WTC map packs.

Should one team wish to use a chess clock to evenly split the available time they have to get the game in, then chess clock rules will be in effect for that game, and the agreed upon time available for the game will be evenly distributed between the two teams.

Submit all scores through Best Coast Pairing.

You can participate in the hobby competition by setting up your army during lunch.

All players will vote for their favourite army. Players cannot vote for themselves.

All players will be asked to rate their top opponents.

Prizes

All teams that have undefeated (3-0) records.

The team with the most votes for best sportsman.

The player with most votes for best painted.

Everyone loves the underdog. The best underdog is the player who has the highest battle score and no wins.

Everyone who did not win one of the main prizes will still have a chance to randomly win one of the many door prizes.
