Crimson Paint Pot Rubric

All models must be

• Fully assembled
• Painted at least 3 colours
• Have at least basic flocking on the base

At least 3 participants or up to 25% of the participants, whichever is higher, will proceed to the competition finals. You will be selected for the finals based on your paint score.

• Shading and highlighting
• Basic details such as grenades, buckles, or claws are distinct
• Extra details applied to the model base

• Blending through wet blends, glazing, feathering, or stippling
• Contrast through edge highlighting or black lining
• Object source lighting
• Free-hand symbols or patterns, or application of transfers
• Advanced details such as eyes, teeth, skin patterns, or textures
• Adherence to colour theory principles
• Advanced details applied to the model base
• Conversion or kit-bashing

• Does the model tell a story?
• Does the model demonstrate an emotional theme?
• Does the model evoke motion or action?
• How much extra detail is on the model compared to other models?

Small models must have a maximum base size of 80mm and be up to 120mm in height.

Large models must have a base size larger than 80mm and be more than 100mm in height.
